# Example high risk of acquiring under the water loans

At the start of February 2024, we have observed a situation where loans cumulatively across StarkNet resulted in a situation with high potential risk of acquiring under the water loans. 

Quite simply there was a lot of expected liquidations around a price of 2200 (ETH/USD) and necessarily enough liquidity across the AMMs. At the end the situation was resolved with easy, but the risk was there anyway.
